Matroo Ki Bijli Ka Mandola – Brilliant and Class Apart

A world class movie on a powerful Subject so well executed by class performers like Pankaj Kapoor, Shabana Aazmi.

A Nation struggling between its two identities.

A nation who was known for its Agriculture and its villages is also now Known for Concrete Jungles, Factories, Big Malls and Multiplexes. There is Happiness and there is pain in this transition.

Pankaj Kapoor (Mandola) The Landlord of Mandola Village lives a dual personality.

In his senses he dreams of converting his Village into Concrete Jungle with Big Multiplexes, Malls, Factories. He is cheating on poor villagers and uses corrupt practices to acquire their farming lands in cheap prices.

When he is drunk he still feels for the village and wants the villagers to get their land and live happily.

He has shown his class and at times reminded me of Johnny Dep’s performance in “Rum Diary”.

Shabana Aazmi plays  a corrupt politician who is willing to get all Pankaj Kapoor’s Land for her political benefits.  She has done tremendous justice to her role.

Imran Khan is the protagonist who wants to save his village and fight for the right of his villagers. He also does justice with his role.

Anushka Sharma is just eye candy and doesn’t has much to contribute. But as always she looks stunning.

The movie is tremendously entertaining only i found the last 30 minutes a little boring. But even then Pankaj Kapoor in his drunk avatar is a treat to watch. I would say go watch it  if you haven’t.

if you have seen the movie share how you found it.
